PURPOSE: To provide financial assistance of $100 to individual collegiate members to attend the MTNA National Conference or the MTNA Collegiate Chapters Pedagogy Symposium. Collegiate Travel Grants support Pillar Two of the MTNA mission: “Sustain the Profession,” by supporting programs/activities designed to “ensure the long-term future of the profession.”

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Any MTNA collegiate member in good standing may apply.
  • Grant may be used to attend the MTNA Collegiate Chapters Pedagogy Symposium (January 2024) or the MTNA National Conference (March 2024).
  • Applicants may only apply for one grant for one event each fiscal year.
  • Past grant recipients are eligible, but priority is given to first-time Conference/Symposium attendees.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time November 1, 2023.

EVALUATION CRITERIA: The number of grants awarded in any year is determined by the number of qualified applicants and available funds. In the event MTNA receives more requests for funding than what is available, funds will be distributed beginning with first-time Conference/Symposium attendees. If funds remain, MTNA will award grants to past recipients, in order of the online application timestamp.
